I love seeing old buildings with new purposes, yet these links to their origins.  But it almost makes me feel dizzy looking up there!

Yes, a historic structure thread would be interesting, old bridges, buildings etc.  I'll see what I can rustle up.

There is a bit of clever juxtaposition here too - whether intended or not, and that takes the form of the reflection of the modern building widows in the window glass of the old.
Coincidently, or otherwise, the windows reflected are also forming "pane" pattern.

Thanks All - Have hardware in the blood (Eldest brother still runs the family hardware store) so couldn't resist this one.

To answer the questions - cars parked in front, and trees prevented the more conventional approach of crossing the road, so looking up was the only option. Attractions were the Hardware sign and the brick - colour and pattern. Looking in the viewfinder and seeing the reflections in the windows was the cream!
