If anyone has a good large photo of the Cygnus constellation (also known as northern cross) let me know. I would gladly pay a reasonable price for a really good pic. I want one that looks like an eye view versus a close up. (hope that makes sense)

Steve, I put Mr. Google to work and got thousands of returns...I guess I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for... Huh?...Ben

Go and put the question at http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/index.php

Someone there will have one or be able point you in the right direction.

Hi,

Perhaps an Australian astronomy website isnt the best place to look for photos of a Northern hemisphere consellation.

Try searching on one of the photo sites, eg flikr/pbase etc and contact the photographer.
Here's a few results:
http://www.pbase.com/image/19784199
http://www.pbase.com/image/101444496

However, the because the consellation isnt that bright and spaced far apart, its difficult to easily make it out. Perhaps you'd like to add lines between the stars, or overlay the swan, just like the constellation art in the superb (free) software Stellarium - from http://www.stellarium.org/

hope this helps,
Mark.

This is the problem that I am having. I got a few decent replies from the observatory in Los Angeles, but they are far too saturated for what I am looking for.
I may have to come up with a different idea......
