Hey there.

I'll say it right now: I don't have a very decent camera. Though that doesn't stop me loving taking photographs. I'm a bit of a macro whore, I guess. Close-ups are my favourite things to do.

I use whatever I have and that's often my mobile phone... but maybe I can learn a few things here and eventually save up for a good quality digital camera! Either way, the community on this site looks very welcoming and I'm excited to get to know some new people.

Hi there and welcome to madness.
I suppose I have should let one of the official types like Mark (Admin Dude) say welcome, but they're all in Oz and probably asleep, and since I'm in the UK and wide awake I'll say hi on their behalf.

HI   Cool

Look forward to seeing your stuff.
Send it in and keep it coming.
Best

Sleep!...What's that?

No, no, no, we are on duty, ever vigilant.

Hi Sobriquet,
Welcome to our happy tribe. If you love your photography, then you belong here. The quality of your camera, or your experience, for that matter, is the least of it.
Seeing first and interpretation next. After that, no rules here. A slightly bent sense of humour does help.
You have the right of opinion and reply, so go for it. Our FAQ explains most of it and even though we are small, it seems that there is always someone on line to play with.
You are instantly welcome - of course unless you turn out to be an axe murderer, in which case we will disown you.  Shocked
Just put your images up into any gallery category and a new post will be created for discussion.
If you don't mind, when you are ready please share a rough overview in your profile and signature. A first name is good.

Greetings and welcome. You will find this site very friendly. It isn't the quality of the camera that we look for, it is the quality of the subject captured.
