Clyde @ New Lanark



This is another shot of the Falls of Clyde (actually just after the falls of clyde specifically)

The water looks horrible in colour, it's brown with a sickly yellow froth from the waterfall but in black and white it looks pretty good I think.

It is pretty quick moving, this stretch of the clyde used to power these cotton mills and now they use it to generate electricity (there is at least one hydro station upstream)

Apparently it's all lit up at night so I'll be taking the camera back down at some point in the evening soon I hope

Phew, Cotton Mills. I was thinking either mental asylum or whiskey distillery!
Brown water and yellow froth do not a good distillery make.

Ahah I don't think they use the water from the clyde for making anything, other than unwanted bodies vanishing.
