All members are welcome to set up their own gallery, or if you have an interest group, you can set one up for that too. You can also elect for images to generate a posting into a board category too! (amin needs to set up)
1. Go to gallery 2. See "My Gallery" link in top right hand corner. Click same 3. Click 'settings' - name gallery etc 4. Add categories (or not) 5. Upload images
You can also just upload images to the various categories then move them to any other gallery or another category.
Also, once an image is posted to the gallery a BBC (board code) link is generated below the image. this can be pasted into any post (prefereable to attaching) The image will then appear at full size in the post.
Voting and comments on images are also welcome.

Mark, just wondering if I can move my images from forum galleries into mygallery which I have just set up. Just trying to get all my images in one spot. Cheers.

Do pics posted in your own gallery generate a post on the forums?
And did we ever resolve the problem that other people could not see mine - it was private - would somebody try to test it ans check for me? Not admin dude, as I daresay he can see all!

Odille - yours is password protected. The problem with user galleries is that they do not generate threads - so unless you check both the galleries and the boards, you don't get to see new pics!

Thanks for checking, Ross & Cher.
And I never put a password on it so I have NO idea what it is to take it off!
Admin dude, please help.
EDITED: Ok, I went in and took off the password, it was the same as my logon. Can someone check it now (again) for me.

I have just checked and Ross is correct, the user galleries (thus far at least) do NOT create a link and there is no option for it.
I am using the most recent version of the sofware, which seems to have an upgrade every six months or so.
I have set up a board called "Members' gallery" but I cannot link the indivisual galleries to it. (get it?...indivisual) You can create a post in this area then link to the BCC code associated with every image in a gallery. To make this efficient you would have a window or tab open at your gallery and another in the Member's Gallery board. You would create a post, then from the gallery window just cut and paste the image code, voila! same outcome. Give it a try.
The Light Art photo system allows or any image from your gallery to be added to any post, (the other way around) and you can make as many posts as you want to your personal page which displays your gallery, so not perfect either. Even vBulletin and PBB have their deficiencies too!

Odille, in your gallery settings, you can mark as a private gallery. This is not checked as private. I can see your stuff. No selective commenting thank you. Just noticed that!
