B+W portrait

http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=4636

Not sure if its worth posting in here any more ... last couple of portraits which I thought were pretty good got 1 maybe 2 comments, pretty disappointing !

Anyway we went to the park the other afternoon and it was a lovely sunset and Kat and Isla were paying me no attention and I decided to try shooting into the sunlight and get some golden glow. In the end the B+W suited this one better.

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Nice work, I like the way the contrast change leads the eye across the image

Tim this is actually a striking image in my opinion. The use of B and W is perfect. I like the play of light in Kat and Isla's hair and the side view of their parted lips. Have you considered cropping the entire left third off the image, as personally I think there's ample content and beauty in the right 2/3 section. I still think the DoF will be great cropped but overall a great attempt.

It's ageless and very well executed.

Ok Tim now you're up to 4 comments.  Wink  It can be disheartening sometimes when you don't receive feedback and I think we have all gone through it but you can be sure that many have still enjoyed seeing what you put up. I like this image and it has given me an idea to work on. I like how Kat appears to be lit from one side but Isla from both, well done.
