Hello to all prospective new Light Art members.

Of late we have been targeted daily by dozens of spammers creating accounts, in order to make a nuisance of themselves.

So, we have had to introduce a system of registration approval from 12th July 2011.
New members are always welcome, and we will try and check for genuine new request a few time each day.
Hopefully this will remove the spamming problem - once and for all.

Regards,
Mark

And jokes aside the awaiting approval list is gonna grow quickly - if they don't look genuine ...

I'm currently deleting some slimebags buy drugs posts which he somehow (automatically I assume) managed to insert in EVERY SUBFORUM!  I hate them!

And he comes up as a banned user, but obviously the approval before posting did not work in this case.

There has been 76 registrations in the last 24 hours - thankfully now all caught in the 'Awaiting approval' list.
Much easier to use the 'select all box' then wiz through and uncheck the ones that look vaguely genuine!

Somehow another bloody spammer username bilialgok slipped through - how do they do that?  He posted a bloody online bingo message in every section!  All gone now.

Is there any way to bulk delete messages posted by one user?

from the ban page view most recent posts by the member - you still have to remove one by one, but they are all together in one spot  Wink

Someone got through the other day with a normal looking name and was online when I was and she had posted a picture showing her very large assets with a message suggesting there was more to see on her webpage ... needless to say that user has been banned and the post removed !

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.
