Yes.
That is a great idea, small voice in my head. Thank you for raising it.

We would love to see Light Art chapters springing up all over the place.
We will happily, nay merrily, set up a board for any reasonable group / region /club.
Can it be private? Yes, but why? Share the love. I'm hearing Barry White music right now.

Better still, arrange meet-ups in your local area.
Meet-ups are an amazing new concept where you leave your computer (yes, difficult, we know, but for just a little while) and go forth into the local community and meet with people with common interests (photography)  for the purpose of communication, sharing of ideas, food and maybe a little fun. It will be OK.
To do this someone (I'm thinking YOU) will need to post a 'meet up' message on the board and I'd suggest maybe a little ad in the local paper.
You are welcome to use our logo. Just ask and we'll provide a print ready version to suit your requirements.
You've heard of the Sundance festival? [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sundance_Film_Festival ]
Why not a 'Light Art' festival(s)  Roll Eyes Its a local thing.

I'm organising a photo camp for Tweed/southern Gold Coast area over the OCtober long weekend (how do I let myself in for this stuff?).  It started via another forum.  I'll keep everything updated here too if anyone is interested.  I'm looking into accommodation, photo locations etc. at the moment so will be putting up a notice about it all in a week or so.

That's a good start. That's about an eight hour drive for me. I reckon I'd be up for that.

Hi Odille

This sounds like a great idea. Would definitely be interested.  Know about the work you have tried to do with local photo oganisations, although I have only a P&s would like more info and am interested.

Hi Leonie,
Welcome to our fledgling group. It looks like you snuck in through the back door, but sounding a bit like another North coaster, if you know of Odille's adventures. If you have time, please through up a brief introduction to yourself in the new members area.

Jump in and load some images. I'll look forward to seeing your on the gallery and boards. just have a scan through teh FAQ's they cover most of where we are up to.
