Thanks to my generous and kind sister who has spotted me the fare, so we can have a confab about Mum's health (she is 86 and after a fall had 4 mini strokes and now has some memory issues).  So I fly down Sat, arriving round 2100 (9pm) and will be able to go to the Wooden Boat Festival Sunday and then an AusPhotography meetup on the Monday, have Tuesday and Wed for family stuff.

So I should have some nice pics when I get back.

Thanks for reminding me that, "I'm not going anywhere Special." ......... Hahahahah  Grin

Have a nice time a take plenty of pics, should be lovely there, at least a bit cooler. There were people on the 2-ways at work talking about the boat race today, thought they were talking closer than Tassie.

Enjoy seeing your Mum, Have a great time.

Look forward to seeing pics when you return.

Pete...

Look how that worked out for you too ... Boat festival, Photography meet up, ave fun on that one. Its a shame your Mums health is a bit of a damper on the trip tho, hope she is ok !

I am off to Cairns today for another work week up there. Am leaving in 30min and still havent decided if I will take my camera or not ... If I go to Innisfail + Tully + Mission Beach (have to call surgeries + see if they want samples) then I think I would regret not taking it as I will drive past all the banana crops which have been destroyed + I would be able to get into Tully which has been closed off to all but locals etc and it would be worth documenting the aftermath of Yasi !

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.
