I don't think we have any members up north but they are doing it hard.  TC Yasi has crossed the coast at Mission Beach and on one storm chasing forum I saw a report of 6 deaths at Hinchinbrook but that it not confirmed.

Agree with Tommy here you guys have had it very rough what with floods last year and still going on and some relay bad fires the year before, now i know that OZ is a big country and that most of it is not affected but it is still devastating and that all of you would feel for your fellow countrymen as we do for all of you look after yourself's and KEEP SMILING

I am due up in Cairns not next week but the week after, I have an appointment down in Innisfail which is right where the storm hit. I am not too sure if I will still have that appointment but I am planning on taking my camera up this time and if I do go down there I will get some photos. I am sure it will be quite amazing the destruction and power of the storm !

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Lots of flattened houses in Innisfail, Tim, and a lot of tree damage in Cairns.  The Brisbane Times site has quite a good photo gallery up already.
