Well today is the first time that i have managed to get out of the house since Saturday as I've been "snowed in". My front door is about 7ft below road level so when it snows and the wind is blowing from the east we get a rather large drift blocking our front entrance, this has to be cleared before it freezes and turns to ice then you just have to wait for the thaw. The roads outside only have about 12 inches of snow on them so not too bad infact good enough to go to work to earn my keep afterall it is only -18 degrees. Met office say that it is colder here in the U.K than at the north pole. So any one from down under like to join us for Christmas.

I don't fancy the swimming race, thanks very much.  I'd love to be there to experience a white Christmas, though.
