I like it, has an element of your reflections then=me in it too.  I'm not getting much on this at the moment as I am virtually carless and we are over a km from public transport, no way I can walk that far at the moment.

I'm also finding it hard to picture the festive season.  Little festive spirit due to some medical issues in the family.  But, isn't it awful how important the car is nowadays.  And it's not just the consumer.  It's also the Government not investing as everybody has a car anyway.  Sorry to hear about your predicament, Odille.

Very nicely done Christoph - really shows the spirit!

And agree - hard to get into Christmas this year (limited time and rain) and certainly don't envy you being without a car Odille!

Firstly nice shot there with the lights giving it a festive feel

Odille, I know how it is to be without a car!  I had to get rid of all my camera gear (camera, lenses, flash, studio lights, backgrounds, tripod, filters, bags etc) to get a new car for our family... it sucks!

Seems like you guys are all finding it hard to get into the festive spirit...

I just wish we had more light over here in Ireland! I go to work - it's freezing cold & dark, I finish work - it's freezing cold & dark  Angry

I like the sprit of youth depicted here Christoph.

I hear what everyone's saying. I know it's a year tomorrow that my mother was hospitalised for 3 months after a horrific accident which I needed to apply first aid till the ambulance arrived. Memories flood back. I still have her, frail as she is. We have one another and the love of family which goes without question. All of us can look back on 2010 with mixed emotions and reflect on hardships placed before us, BUT we have each other. Working in the high support disability sector, I see people who will never have a fraction of the quality of life we as forum members share, nor will they even often see lifespans we are priviliged to achieve. I've personally lost 2 treasured clients this year.

Chins up, we'll all rally and pull through this abyss. We have to. For the spirit of the season is never about the elusive destination, moreso how we get there.

My late father used to say it was all BC . Before Christmas. As though the world paused and frantically had to achieve all the mayhem before one day in the calendar year!. There's always a 26th and beyond.
