They were just $30 on Zazz, it arrived today.  Works well but going to take a bit of getting used to. Haven't tried editing photos eyt but I am hoping it will make masking easier to do at a fine level

I have thought about getting a graphics tablet ... but that was long ago ... never bothered to look seriously. Let us know how you find it ! Perhaps one day I will get one !

I have been thinking about one of those for some time.  Let us know how useful it is for photo editing.

Re masking:  I have started using the 'quick selection tool'.  In most situations it is better than tracing it by hand/mouse.
