Nice shot Tommy, I like the reflections.  I think it could benefit from a bit more contrast, or try a vibrance layer if you have PS# or later.  And you have a dust bunny top centre, did you realise.

Tommy if you checkout this web site it will give you some idea of what you need to clean the sensor. The brush that i have is the Arctic Butterfly SL 700 it is the older version of the one with lights, you may find one on ebay going cheep, new i think about £35/£45. these brushes work on static electricity you spin them first for about 30secs then pass them over the sensor being careful not to touch it, the dust will jump off the sensor no to the brush. Never use a brush directly on the sensor as this could mark it and a puffer is a waste of money as all they do is move the dust around inside the camera body. Hope this helps.

And if you have PS you can use the magic healing tool to remove it in PP.  My workflow is upload, do ACR adjustments, open in PS, straighten, spot, then I can get creative!

Looks like a postcard TK - beautiful, but agree with Odille - maybe just a nudge more contrast!

On the topic of sensor cleaning ... I would rather pay the $60 or so to get someone to do it (camera shop) because if they scratch the sensor then they are up for the $1000 or so to replace the sensor not me Smiley

Nice pic ... I do miss the snow sometimes, not that we used to get a lot in London !

Tim, the best quote I could get on the GC/Brisbane for cleaning my sensor for the 1D was $170 and they had to have the camera for 3 days!

Shooting black-and-white photographs is different than shooting color photographs. There is more contrast in black-and-white.

Really I used to go to "Star Optics" on the G.C. highway at Mermaid Beach and they did it for $60 within a couple of days or $90 for same day service !!!
