I am so pleased, I had made small bets on Americain, Think Big and Maluckyday and I was laying in bed last night thinking I'd feel an awful fool if they all came in and I didn't have a trifecta.  So I put $5 on the trifecta (0.83 of a unit, apparently) and I won $298.00 and my stake of $26.00 all up back.

I picked Americain a few weeks ago after I saw an article on him and thought what an intelligent horse he looked, and he had reasonable form.  And I backed So You Think because Bart trained it and Maluckyday was the longest odds on the bet chart when I backed him (I always back an outsider too). 

So it is nice to be $300 odd up (that's how much I put back to my account from the small betting account I have) not having any work at the moment I was, literally, down to my last $10 in the bank!

Between Mum, my Daughter Ella and myself, we invested a hefty $30 and lost $30 stone cold< I reckon if I backed a kangaroo it wouldn't jump - such is my finesse in horseracing>
