Weather has closed in and big rains expected for next few days. Late home again but undeterred, foraged in back yard and took a series of a large bush in flower. Also known as bottlebrush and you can see why Smiley

Aren't they strange when you get close.  I think they look better from the distance.  A shame you didn't get the red bits (what do you call that?) in focus instead of the green leaves.  (Autofocus does this to me a lot. As I have multifocal glasses I can't trust my vision either.)

I use spot focus for just that reason.  This would be an ideal subject for the multiple image focus stack technique.

Good effort -I have tried and failed miserably with these in the past Jenn- very high degree of difficulty as there are so many little bits! Am thing tripod and about f20!!!!
