I think it would be even more effective if you made it into a panorama by cropping most of top and bottom.  The buildings and boat look great.

On second thought, you might want to leave more of the foreground.  It seems to need a 2 to 1 split.  In the original the buildings and the boats seemed to be get lost between sky and sand.  In the new version it feels a bit too tight.  Sorry to be so complicated.

how about more sand and less sky.... i seem to like the way the sand leads the eye into the shot?

I would say just crop the sky down a bit and leave the sand as it is... ur gonna have to post a lot more versions to please us picky munch!!  Grin Cheesy
