Wallflower Orchid

http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=4300

As you may notice, it's still raining Smiley Undeterred, I set off hoping for a few elusive native orchid images to add to my ever increasing collation. The Wallflower orchid is one I hadn't seen, so that was a bonus.

Interestingly, I think I was still too early, as many species I saw this time last year, were not to be seen,

I did chance upon some favourites and was pleased to photograph 7 of our terrestrial native orchids, including Spider Orchids, Pink Fingers and Brown Beaks.

The rain drops are a nice addition to this great picture.  I like it!

Sydney has been luckier - sunshine and a reasonable temperature, too cold to swim though.

You seem to know a bit about the orchids ... are you just an avid orchid fan or a botanist ?

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Not at all.  I know nothing!  We inherited Orchids when we moved into our house and garden many years ago and they have survived and prospered ever since.
