Snapper Rocks yesterday - and some surfers and body boarders were still going out! The boom as the waves hit the ricks was immense, you could feel the ground shaking.
THat foamy brown stuff is all the spume thrown up by the waves, and it is between the 2 rock shelves that lead out hgere. It was all wobbling and shaking like jelly and flying off in the wind gusts.
The power of good ole Mother Nature is certainly awesome

Your picture is full of drama. And with darker clouds and more contrast this could be even more pronounced. It might be just me, but I like strong colours and contrast. (I am not sure whether it is acceptable on this site. However, I took a copy and did some editing and it looks great. I am sorry if I overstepped the mark)

No that's OK. Pop it up and let's have a look. I tend to be a less rather than more post-process person, I leave them pretty much as they were. Occasionally, though, I go extreme, so let's see it!

Definitely not Snapper at its best !

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Looks good but the sand is way too dark to my eye. I will have another play with it and have a repost.
I did a fair but with curves, levels and vibrance, adjusted the yellow saturation and depth of the foreground, but for most of the darkening operations I erased it over the foreground.

The edit is better Odille it benefits from that extra oomphh - I think you could go darker still with the sky as Cristoph has done

You are correct, I wet too far with the sand. Yours is better. How do you feel about applying the 'unsharpen" filter. I find that the DSLR's don't sharpen as much as the old SLR's. I apply the filter on all my pictures to some degree.

I use an adjustment layer with the High Pass filter, soft light blending at 60-70%.

Thanks Odille. The high pass filter is still a mystery to me. I can see I still have lots to learn about PS.
