This is very different to the one on colour.  Less intense!  I feel it needs more contrast.

I like the composition in this one better - the curving lines all leading in look great, but yes, I would up the contrast quite a bit.

AS requested one with more contrast and have to admit it dose look better.But the original to closer to reality overcast and grey

Nice shot Bob, would have been nice to see more definition in the clouds ... but on most grey days in the UK there is not a lot of definition in the clouds !

I like Bob - personal preference - but I like the original - the curves sweeping around to the wave gets my eye... the joys of photography - no right, no wrong...

I like this shot bob.. the 2nd one does it for me with the contrast tweaked... makes it stand out a bit more... well done
