I was downloading my holiday snaps on Saturday when we had a power cut, this has resulted in the cf card being corrupted with no information to recover, but when i put the card into my camera it tells me that it is full so my question is can the pictures be recovered ? A friend of mine has a program that can recover lost pictures from cf cards but only those that have been formated by mistake. as this one disk has all my holiday pictures on it,  Any help or advice would be welcome welcome

You normally can recover some things from a corrupted card.  Contact the makers (eg Sandisk or whoever) as they have recovery programs.  It's certainly worth trying them.

Can you view the images on the CAmera?? If so, maybe try connecting the camera via USB and transferring files?? Another option would be a local computer repairer - may have the necessary recovery software. Good luck Bob!
