Missing Someone

http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=4184

Spotted this elderly gentleman sitting on this bench.  He was there quite a while... It looked as tho he was missing that special someone

Excellent shot.  The composition both  tells you a lot about the man  - he probably goes for a walk and sits there regularly (water bottle in pocket) , he's not too poor (good shoes),  his age, of course - and leaves a whole host of things for you to fill in for yourself.  I really like this one.

Tommy - I wonder if the name plate bears some clue to your questions? Perhaps the bench is there as a memorial to a loved one?

Poignant image which lends lots of thought to the viwer. I like your POV also .. it's given a lovely balance to the occasion.

When I looked at the picture first time I didn’t have the impression that this man was missing someone. But after a while I agree with you. I like pictures that make you think about something in this case you start embody this man’s life “his past and present”. It’s a really good picture, thanks a lot!!!

I agree with what has been said.  A picture with a very strong story.  Well done!

Somehow I have the feeling that this could not happen to us.  We would have a camera at the ready, looking around for a picture opportunity.

Looks very comfy whatever the story... (and is that a water bottle or a spray bottle... and does he have a camera in the other pocket???   Grin nicely done Tommy!
