Life Anew
http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=4069Today I drove through the simply stunning Tara Valley up into the Tara Bulga National Park, seeing some of the most pristine beauty imaginable. Cresting this coastal mountain range, I headed inland and around the first bend in the road, this sight greeted me. You can imagine my utter shock, coming from stunning forest to this stark reminder of the Black Saturday's fires. Entire valleys devoid of trees. Charred remnants of gum forests now sprining back to life. This view was obviously of the pine plantations that were lost in this devastating fire which claimed so many lives and properties. I was heartened to see a small patch of Spring flowers in the entrance to a rural driveway, where what appeared to be a new home beyond, with no tree or vegetation surrounding. It said to me "we love it here - we're soldiering on"
