There is a metal song...don't remember by whom, or the name of the song...with the singer snarling (with the appropriate addition of bass, reverb and slowing down of the voice), "I am the God of Hellfire!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I think you captured the eyes of this god.

I've taken dozens, maybe hundreds of fire pictures, and none of them approach this. I feel like busting out the iPod and listening to some Godsmack or Black Sabbath. Nice work.

The more I think about it and hear the voice in my head, I think it's Dio from his time with Black Sabbath, on the Live Evil album...but I could be wrong.

Did I just reveal too much about myself?

Now that is wild! Add a couple of port glasses, some hot chocolate and the scene is complete! And as much as I love Sabbath, not really the appropriate mood music!!!!!!  Cheesy Cheesy

Thats a great image. Flames look cool (hot) but I think the marshmellows are a
bit overdone.

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

When setting up this particular photo, I cheated a bit. The camera set up is basic. F/22  Bulb at 50 seconds. The set up of the marshmellows was the tougher part.
I shoved two marshmellows on two long match sticks. As the marshmellows burned, the matches lit, and the flames shot up almost 4 inches, giving one heck of a flame.

Now as far as the "God of Hell Fire" It is from a song called Fire by Prodigy.

Prodigy was waaaaaayyyyy too new, so I had to go looking for it. It is "Fire," but it's originally by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, though I'd always thought it was War or one of the other more common 60's bands (which you'll understand if the follow the link).

Whew. Mystery solved.

The song is called 'Fire', and it was song by a guy who went by the name of 'The Crazy World of Arthur Brown'. I remember buying the record when it first came out in the late 1960's Smiley
The flaming marshmallows do remind me of his flaming headress though

How spooky is that Brian, I was just going to link to the very same YouTube clip ! Shocked I remember buying the record when it first came out in the late 1960's too, it's still a favourite of mine now.

I love the 'Dueling Marshmellows' Steve, great shot.

I love to think outside of the box for my photos. I figured that dueling marshmellows would definately fit into a whole seperate view of after dark.

It is indeed very "After Dark" and well conceived.
