The Modern Schoolchild

Snapped yesterday afternoon in the after school home and bus bustle, in the schoolyard next door to us, this boy was waiting for his parent to collect him. I was careful to get one that did not identify the child, I waited until he had his head down absorbed in his laptop.

It struck me how much things have changed, while I waited for the bus after school I used to read a book!

What!! that is positively an antique he is using there,nowdays if you can't get all things on your mobile phone then you are out of date, and the ring tone it set at such a pitch that no one over the age of 23 can hear it.The ring tone was developed originally to be played at places where youngsters were not wanted to congregate but they recorded it then passed it on to friends the rest is now history they can here their phones and teacher cant so watchout TIM it will jump up and bite you one day

Unfortunately it does not work, I can hear the ringtone and i am 32 ! The kids dont bother trying it on me anymore ... plus the craze has pretty much subsided now.
Every grade 12 student (17yrs old) has a laptop at our school now supplied by the school. Most of them use the technology sensibly but the minority play games and it is more distracting than things used to be !

Anyway ... Nice shot, good moment !
