I like it.
I think its OK that the mid-ground reflections burn out, your brain expects that pointing towards the sun - or "contre jour" as they say.
But the wide angle with detail in the foreground and pooling water leads your eye into the picture like stepping stones.
I also like the tonal variations in the sky.

I think it is better than 'a pretty ordinary picture'.
