Today is a good day, and last night was a good night, the last 2 rounds of the club championship took place. Up until then, I had been joint first in the club championship on 50 points. However, after last night's result, I can confirm that I have won the championship. I scored 1st, 2nd and 3rd in both the advanced open print and advanced open projected image, scoring 90 points on the night, which means I have 140 points to my nearest rival on 50. Points are only scored for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so it was a clean sweep for me.
To say I'm chuffed is an understatement, there will now be a presentation on 4th May when I will get my trophy.
I entered 8 images and whilst six scored as mentioned, the remaning two also got 17 points in their respective category, meaning they came 4th on the night.
So there you have it, Dale Powell, 2010 Lesmahagow Photographic Society Champion.
:-)
Dale.

You were a champion to us before the 6th of April 2010 Dale. This is just an incredible honour and bonus to confirm what others believe in -- you and your Art. I am so proud of your efforts over the last year and wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations, upon this exciting win. Damn I knew I should have taken you up on that offer 6 mths ago of a hand autographed original image! Well done friend. You deserve every accolade and more. Tell the East and West coast of Bonnie Scotland now - chewy on your boot

Thanks, Im, touched. It was a long haul, I didn't get off to the greatest of starts back in September last year, my deadly rival (whose mate once accused me of cheating ) beat me in the first 2 opens, I bounced back in the Mono competition and drew level but last night saw emphatic wins for me. I don't mean that to sound bigheaded but I took every point up for grabs, so it was beyond my wildest dreams. Fair play though, my rival came up to me afterwards, congratualted me and said I will be a very famous photographer one day. I'm not sure how true that is though.

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Sorry for not getting back on this one, I've been floored with a chest infection.
