Rather than leave it to Mark to replace all the missing pictures i have decided to have a go myself and haypresto i can do it, so why not have a go yourself that way between us we could replace them all in no time. AND save Mark a few head aches, so go on give it a go

What did you do Bob ? Did you do a modify post and re-upload the picture into the thread ? Or are you creating new threads with the Old photos ?

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

That would very nice if we could make any dent in it. I just do not have a couple of days spare to put aside for this at the moment.
As you have witnessed.

I have around 5,600 images saved across to a directory on the light art photo site.
It is a very big combined file - hundreds of Mb.
It struck me that if I copied ALL of the files and ALL of the thumbnails into ALL of the various folders, it might go a long way to fixing the issue, but a very cumbersome and duplicitous way around. All need to be copied down and then back up. Even over broadband this is a time consuming task. Lets concentrate on the current and I'll Get to the historical when possible.

My wife/partner and I are currently buried in growing our  income producing businesses and fitting in the requirements of a growing and sport-oriented trio of daughters. Like many, the slow-down of the last couple of years had its effect, and while bouncing back, we need to apply focus to keeping the income producing businesses producing.

I think replicating what Derek and myself have done, might fix the present situation also. we simply deleted the post. voila. Let's do as Mark has suggested and just keep forging ever onwards. Unless there's some kind hearted and clever volunteer who has time on their hands, I think we ought to assume the files are 'no more' ( apologies to John Cleese ).

It's been a disappointment but we all should still have our back ups on disc etc, so all is NOT lost, it's just gone to a Happy Hunting Ground ( no apologies to Cocheese)
