First of all I'd like to thank Odille for inviting me here. Smiley

My big passions in life photographically are, severe weather and biiig panoramas, although I haven't had too many opportunities to do the latter as yet. I hope to rectify that with a trip to NZ in September as well as making a start in the field of macro with the 100mm macro (in my signature) arriving sometime this week.

I look forward to making a contribution here and please feel free to peruse my website and let me know what you think.

Cheers, Helen

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

Hi Helen,

Welcome it is Ok to speak the name of "others". No need to be truly faithful in the photographic sense.
That is what is great about forums. Yes, a common topic, but all with a slightly different flavour. Art or passion, it is something we are all pretty keen on.
A small but growing crowd here, and a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun.

Hi Helen, glad you've found us.  I think you'll like it here.  There shoudl be great opportunities for panos in SA.

And beleive it or not, SA and WA are our 'tornado capitals'.  See http://www.bom.gov.au/storm_spotters/handbook/Storm_Spotter_Handbook.pdf

Thankyou so much for the warm welcome everyone. I'm starting to feel very much at home here already. Grin

It's currently 'raining cats and dogs' here (Odille, did you send me that wet weather afterall?) and I'm in heavenly bliss even though it is a rather cold 5.3ºC.

Thankyou Steve. Smiley

Paul, I use Panorama Factory... the stand alone version. You can download a trial version from http://www.panoramafactory.com but it will leave a watermark in the centre of the image.

The first time I tried it was with a 19-shot 180º panorama of the Burra township. I liked the result so much that I purchased the software immediately. Smiley

Looks like it is a good program, does a good job.
I have cs3 extended, I'm pretty happy with it, It does a good job but the most I have stitched
so far is 5 images together.

I have CS3 Extended also, but still use PF for the actual stitching. Just has a bit more of an edge. Smiley
