Maybe there could be a competition using compact cameras (point and shoot), to allow some of the users that haven't got access to DSLR Cameras. This is just an idea and would like to read other users thoughts on the idea.

Happy shooting guys

I dont have a point and shoot ... although I have been seriously thinking about buying one because they are so much easier to take everywhere compared to my silly size DSLR !

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

ye most users on here have a DSLR and as most competitions are ideal for DSLR users, it would be nice to have one for compact users.

Although I have just read your post on Bigbob thread and I think that your idea of setting one up for people to vote on (like a competition) is a good idea. I have never done this and would like to know how.

Oli don't get carried away or obsesed about what camera you are using as there are a lot of good pictures posted on this site by people using non slr camers myself included some of mine were taken on a nikon p50 compact.David Baily once said it is not what you use but what you see and how you take it that counts

Oli with the smoking ban that we now have you can get a lot of good pictures of people standing around outside any pub or eating establishment in the area, and a point and shoot is ideal for that also if you don't mind a bit of a walk you have cockington village on the border between you and Piignton all stone built and thatched houses with plenty of character
