As reported by Jenn, it would seem that we are missing many earlier images from the galleries.
I have now had a chance to investigate and within the gallery structure, there are currently 5 subfolders automatically generated.
Two of these have been emptied of their entire contents. While I  back up the database and table structure, (preserving posts), it is not entirely practical to back up hundreds of MBs of images - a small disaster.
I do not know how this has happened, perhaps  we ave been hacked as folders 0, 3 & 4 have images, 1 & 2 are entirely empty
The Christmas fairy may, however be partiallly on our side. Just before Christmas, I copied all images to another single directory on www.lightartphoto.com to facilitate a 3D image wall. It is difficult to determine which images come from each folder, other than one by one from the BBS links, so I will try and copy all back to each folder, but this will take some time. This may or may not work, and will still pose an issue for thumbnails, but I'll see how it goes.
This is most dissappointing hopefuly we can recoup to some extent.
My apologies to all.

Ahh the memories!!!!  As I recall, the best site east and west of "Texas 4385" as far as image quality goes!

I do think I can restore quite a few of these, if not all, but do not have many spare hours will visiting family in QLD.
I have identified the two seperate date ranges of images from the two emptied folders and the file names contain the dates.
November 19th 08 to April 4th 09.
Unfortunately I cannot simply sort by date as they have prefix and suffix components.
I'll try and work backwards as I can get to them.

Hackers are among the vilest and most useless of all lifeforms...About all you can really do is secure your site as well as possible...It may even be to your advantage to change all the admin passwords occasionally...My own board runs on VBulletin which I hear may be the safest around and there have been no hacks in the eight plus years that it's been active, but I think that's atttributable to luck as well as anything else...

Mark, with your limited time, I think you do a fine job and I can only recommend frequent complete backups as a defense... Lips Sealed...Ben
