Looks like the guy who owns the 600mm has the $$$ to pay me so his lens will be returned as soon as my bank balance goes up.

The money (which I "earnt" via photography) I think will probably be re-invested into some new gear, problem is to decide what to do ...

I am thinking of a couple of options ..
1. Canon 24 - 70mm f2.8 L  (about $2000 worth)
2. Canon 24 - 105mm f4 L IS (about $1500 worth) + canon 580EX ii flash (about $600 worth)
3. Canon 580EX ii flash + 2x 430EX ii (about $380 worth each) the 580 can be used to trigger the 430's off camera, so 1 or 2x 430's can be used similar to studio lights ...

Open to any suggestions ... could have about $2000 to play with (depending on the boss Smiley)

It depends, of course, on (a) what you already have and (b) what you plan to do with it.  The f2.8 sounds awfully ytempting, but the flash unit would be nice too.

Ah, decisions, decisions!

I do already have the 10 - 20mm sigma, I have a 28 - 105mm 3.5 - 4.5 which is good but not great, this is the one I would look to replace as I have 70-200 f2.8L and 300 f4 L ... so if its a lens the 24 - 70 or 24 - 105 L lenses ... but then the flash units would mean I would pretty much have a portable studio and I would be able to back fill and light up different areas of photos ... ... havent got the money yet so the 600mm remains in my possession anyway !!

Sounds like good advice...Don't be like me and buy something just because you don't have one already... Embarrassed...Ben

Instead of lenses, why not some studio equipment, lights, backdrops and some different props.
Even some more reflectors and shades may come in handy.

Partially what I am thinking Ozzi ! The flashes can work sort of like a small portable studio ... but a nice big studio set up with full lights would be good as well !

I would go for
2. Canon 24 - 105mm f4 L IS (about $1500 worth) + canon 580EX ii flash (about $600 worth)

Its my personal choice, but like mentioned above, it really depends on many things
