I went back to the city today and tried to valiantly rectify the perspective and light concerns which have been raised. Here's one of the 40 images that resulted, based on the same theme and trying to emulate the original as best as possible.

Wow Jenn, I like this a LOT ! the vibrant gold of the church really gives it some punch amongst the concrete jungle and the reflections in the windows that resemble a stack of the old film slides look great. I would like to have seen the distortion corrected a little on the left but much more noticeable on the right. I also feel the bright section on the right is distracting and by cropping it out the eye would follow those leading lines down to the church much easier. Superb !!!
