You can almost decipher each pelican's personality and ranking in this image. I just liked the 'fun' of the resulting effect.

I like this image, it looks good in b&w. The reflection is nice to.
Some of the trees in the background seem to be sharper/more in focus than the Pelicans though.

None of the birds have a shadow even though the background implies a light source of some kind? 
The reflections add to the relaxed feeling.  I like how the 'intruder' in the background adds some movement.

Yes, the focus point is not on the birds.  But it is an interesting behaviour study.
