Finally upgraded the RAM in my computer, it amazing how much of a difference an extra 1gb makes.
Photoshop CS3 was ok but a bit slow but CS4 was having problems, now it runs ok and I don't have a problem opening the Pentax 23mb RAW files. They would open in ACR but if some adjustments were made to the RAW file they would take ages or not open at all in CS3. I had to upgrade the RAM for CS4 because
it just needed it. Wish I had of done it sooner.

As part of the move we upgraded computers - even at elements 6 stage (with training wheels) the difference in zing is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Derek,
   I don't know about cheap, Not in my area anyway. The computer shop wanted $127 for a 1gb DDR 333 chip.
I always like to haggle a bit and ended up getting it for $99. The DDR 333 setup is old so it costs a bit more.
Hopefully I may be able to get myself a new notebook computer for Xmas.

I used ePowerMac and got a great price for memory for both my old and new macs.
