I just upgraded to CS 4 (extended version). and was wondering if there is anybody else on here that is using this program. I had CS3 but some of the new features of CS 4 looked pretty good. If there is somebody using it, I would like to know how to change the settings so you can open a jpeg file in Adobe Camera Raw for non destructive editing. I had this set in CS 3 but when setting preferences in CS 4 there is no option for it. Its not a major problem but if I do shoot a jpeg or edit an image for another person I would like for it to open automatically in ACR.

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

CS 3 is a great program, the only reason I wanted CS4 was for the better panoramic stitching and the new feature where you take a few of the same image with the focus set at different points in the image from close to far. The new feature then combines the image like an HDR but instead it gives an extended DoF from foreground to background. The hole image is sharp and in focus. I just have to get some shots and try to work out how to do it now.

Now that would be a great feature ! layering images of different focus to create an image which has basically unlimited DOF !!

Focus stacking is fun - but hard to get right!!!!! We have a freebie that does it, but CS4 would be fantastic.

Well thats true. But I can't even find where some of the stuff is. Its a good bit different to CS 3. The user interface is changed a bit to, some things on CS 3 I liked better but I guess I will get used to this sooner or later.
