Thank you Carmyllie.
I have had a busy couple of months with kids sporting commitments, work and a new small business to grow. Yikes!

We passed a small milestone tonight of 15,000 posts and 3,300 topics. Not bad for a small community forum and all due to the fantastic support of people like you who keep the ball rolling. Thank you so much for your positive contributions and wonderful imagery.
We may never be the biggest photography forum, but I hope we can continue to grow to be the most positive and supportive of all photographers seeking to share there images and grow their artform - or hobby.

Yes, I was starting to wonder if you had gone permanently MIA, Mark!  Good to see you back.

And derek, a well deserved win - I like the depth in this and as you look at it you see more and more detail in the refelections - like the 2 people on the reflected beach.  But I cannot see any pelican??

Note to Ross: A pelican??

Congrats Derek, a wonderful shot.

Note to AD - patterns are where you see them, so if a building is a worthy winner, what is wrong with a pelican?Huh? Grin Grin

Thank you all for your kind comments and scores. I must admit the outcome surprised me as it was a great theme that attracted a very good selection of images and as far as I could see a good number of potential worthy winners. As a further point of interest my image was captured with a small, old, point and shoot (Nikon Coolpix S4) the only thing I had available to me at the time. Images often pop up at the most unexpected moments and for that reason I always have some sort of camera to hand and as has been discussed a number of times in our little online village it is not really the equipment that makes a winning image it's the eye behind it, it's the ability to capture a moment at that moment.
Thanks again everyone, happy clicking, clickers...  Smiley
