I dont think so Bob, Oli has been an active member here for a few weeks now, its not like this is his 1st and only post. Hopefully Oli will continue to contribute to this site as well !

Room for all, except those occassionally blatant spammers. Good luck with it Oli. There is a bit of work in it behind the scenes.

New site, fresh look… Of course Oli is not trying to compete at all. He is just exploring new ideas, new site to build new community. Of course we should always be open to fresh ideas and new ways to meet friends.

I just thought there is nothing wrong if I go and signup a new account there, too.

Hi to Oli and all who are contributing to this thread.

I must say Oli that I whole-heartedly encourage all of you to have ago at publishing your own site / gallery / blog.
One of the things that I will get around to one of these days is to provide a 'mud map' how to guide for any of you that might be interested in doing your own thing.
Having travelled the bumpy road, I believe I can assist in getting yourself online in an efficent and very cost-effective manner and I mean almost no cost with lots of features. it is all out there if you know where to look.

More on this later, if there is any interest.

I have signed up with OzImages - a stock photo agency which is a bit different in that you pay an annual fee and that's it, no commission, no other charges.  I have a new web address linked to it and you get a blog and lots of other stuff (I shouldn't be telling you guys this, should I?)

I haven't sold anything yet but it is early days and I am trying to upload more images each week.

My new address is www.photographybyodille.com.  HInt: if you go to have a look, click on the title under the photo, otherwise you get the buying box!

Well done Odille, looks good.
I hope you sell a few. Both www.istockphoto.com and www.cresstock.com have some good advice from successfulstock shooters, some good stuff there.

I did join iStockPhoto but I don't like the low value they place on your work. I'll have a look a cressstock

iStock work on volume. If the work is popular it can create some income.
Another alternate for "quirky" work is RedBubble. Here you can add your mages to T-shirts, coffee mugs, posters, prints etc. - and name your own price. Plus it a clever little Aussie business gone global. www.redbubble.com
