Hi All

My name's Clive and as the name implies, I'm from S Wales, UK. Was doing weddings & candid portraits mainly about 20yrs ago with a Yashica FX3 & Mamiya C3 with my own b&w darkroom & E6 processing.

Just bought myself a new Canon EOS400D, with a Sigma flashgun & two tungsten lamps. Fancy getting into portraits & glamour with the intention of starting a boudoir photography business at some point (at 53yrs, I'd best get a move on...) with my partner.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Cheers
Clive

Welcome, Clive.  Your own E-6 processing, I'm impressed!  I never got past a B&W darkroom at home and doping some col printing at a community lab facility.

You'll be happy with the Canon, I think.  Shooting digital is a fantastic release from the ongoing cost of developing. SInce I bought my first DSLR in Nov 05 I've gone well over the 25000 shots.  I could never, ever, have done that in film.

Hello Clive,

Welcome to the Light Art family... fix your self a drink and settle in!
We'll look forward to seeing some images and benefitting from your own experiences.

We have file and dark room areas on the boards, but in these early days there has not been a lot of activity there. Perhaps you could incite a small riot!

I used to do some Cibachrome (later Ilfochrome) processing and printing in dinky flat bathroom in the late 80's early 90's.
I love the quality, gloss and vivid colours of Cibachrome - but what a noxious mix of chemicals to put down the drain.
And the expense and time to get it right!
Digital for me these days, thank you.
If you enjoy it here, please spread the word locally.
