As one who travels the U.S. I would love to know some recommended sites to shoot. Even within cities, some locations, buildings, parks and such would benefit the growing membership.

Good idea Cal, but a post for each country where there are forum members.

Part of my diatribe in an earlier post on hopes and aspirations for 'Light Art' is goal of building localised communities that are part of the broader communities. I am more than happy to provide local 'chapter' boards for anyone who would like to have a go at attracting a local "Light Art" community.
It would be fantastic, if little localised communites were to evolve around the concept of physical meet-ups, for socialising, discussion etc around a common theme.
Such is the ground and framework for the type of information that you describe, local shooting opportunites, 'must-do' items, maybe even some Google earth icons. You can ttache you rimages to specific locations

Sites like Craig list and Gumtree & Atumbleupon are global/localised community directories that allow free local community input for this type of thing.

Here is a copy of a community ad I have been running ion Gum tree in Belfast, Ireland (I don't know why either, I just stumled upon the opportunity. If I try to run them in multiple locations, I get punted off, but you'll ge the idea:

If you want to run similar free community ads locally, you may use deriviatives of the information, prefaced by your location and I will set up a "local chapters" style of board with gallery. You may also mod your local board, provided you adhere to our very basic set of 'play nice' rules - and hopefully contribute a little local flavour. (we can do other languages too, via plugins)
I assume that creativity is the result, to some extent of empowerment. Anyone interested?
