As suggested by Tim - a poll on the methodology of voting. Please feel free to add any other suggestions and we can repoll!

Hi Everyone
I am pleased we have managed to isolate this conversation to one thread and value my chance to have a say, with everyone's indulgence of course.

In my honest and humble opinion, keep it all on the homepage UNTIL the Gallery OPENS ( unlocked courtesy of Mark or a designated moderator ). Once the GALLERY OPENS, then voting can begin, and personally I don't mind which way it's monitored or counted. Ironically members will have a chance to view in one place if they so wish anyhow as the Gallery will open well in time to cast opinions, comments and votes.

I know everyone is trying their best to contribute works along the lines of each Monthly Theme and to me it'd be a shame to quell enthusiasm, especially for those who feel self concious or less worthy, as everyone deserves a chance to shine and feel proud. Personally speaking, I gain far more than stars by receiving comment and the notion of it being a Forum of like minded and kindred travellers/peers, far more appeals than accolade or 'stardom'.

Feel welcome to dissect this as you will. I am enjoying the lively discussion as it demonstrates people actually CARE.

I've always been a bit baffled by the voting system for competitions.  I don't mean that harshly, I'm sure it's very simple and I could probably do a better job of reading the rules etc but I think the simplest way to do it, is to have all  the entered images in a thread of their own, and then members just give their favorite image a single vote, and the one with most votes wins.

Apologies for not understanding the way it currently works as I should, I will give the requirements more reading time.
