Thats the catch lights Bob ! From the flash ... unfortunately I only have 1 flash so thats how it has to look at the moment, I am looking into a studio lighting set up but of course $$$ is the thing which is stopping me !

Absolutely gorgeous shot Tim (she looks nothing like you  Grin ) I do have to agree with Bob though. We always look straight into the eyes on an image like this and those fine white catch light dots in the middle of her eyes are quite distracting. Blacking them out will make a big difference but leave the larger catch lights there. I think this one should be looking for a big frame to go in.
As a side note a friend of mine just bought a complete 2 light studio kit from here for under $600 it's a great starting point without busting the wallet and they seem to do a good job. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Fotogen-Studio-Twin-Flash-Package-2x-300W_W0QQitemZ120437010010QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories?hash=item1c0a9aee5a&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A30

I was looking at the 600W version of this exact thing ! Just 2x600W flashes instead of the 300W !!
Not sure if you can answer this one tho Derek ... did it come with a bag or anything to keep + transport the kit in ?

I will remove the central bright catch lights now and see if I can repost in this thread ...

Tim, I believe that tiny change makes a huge difference to the image, what do you think ?

No, there was no bag with the kit but its not to hard to find one that suits as everything folds up. The lights are quite big and heavy so I don't know if you would want to be carrying them around too much. Perhaps a suitcase on wheels would be a better solution for this.

I actually spent a fair bit of time in CS3 fixing this one up ... went back to the RAW file and then re cropped and fixed a blemish or 2 and the bright spots ... also changed some of the colours a touch ... but yes ... worth the effort of fixing up !

Yea ... suitcase or soft case on wheels would be the go !
