Sommething different !

http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=2668

Copper vats, a natural metal which man has used for hundreds of years.
This is possibly one of the finest uses for this metal, brewing alcohol Smiley

(Angle looks strange cause of direction of shooting, look at the stairs, nice and level Smiley)

When i first looked at this picture as my comments suggested i liked it and i still do.
Now here comes the BUT copper is not so natural it is extracted from a mineral called CHALCOPYRIE or COPPER PYRITE through a very lengthy process. It is rather like taking a picture of a brick built house, the house was built by man the brick was also made by man But the brick is the only thing made by natures original materials clay. so in conclusion i think this is not a qualifier as man interfeared to make the copper. sorry Tim Just have to Waite for the vote. Copper has been in use for a long time way back in the day's of the Roman empire the biggest producers of copper was Cyprus known then as CYPRIUM(metal of Cyprus)later shortened to CUPRUM now COPPER.

So by this rationalle do any of these photos qualify as man interfered to make all of the structures, did man not cut the rock / quarry the rock / bind it together using mortar or similar, did man not cut the wood, paint the wood etc.  Tongue Bit of a paradox here how can there be a natural built structure if man interferes with it in any way ? Also is man not a product of nature ? Therefore is ANYTHING and EVERYTHING an example of "Man's natural built structures" Huh?

Its cool Bob ... I just threw this one into the mix as "something different" I think that it is an example of man using a natural substance which is copper as man does not actually MAKE the copper only changes its form (it is not always found as pure but mostly as an ore as you said) to build a structure (to brew alcohol) Smiley

(Stir Stir Stir Stir) (thats just me stiring up trouble Smiley)

Not even a little nibble Bob ?? Sad

No not gone away it's just work that interfears.
As you said man has interfeared in most things, we take stone from a quarry and use it to build but when the structure is finished the stone will still be recognisable as the same stone seen in the quarry, the same applies to wood we cut down a tree to use it perhaps to make a chair you may not recognise it as a tree but you can still see that it is wood.
However with copper it comes out of the ground as an ore it goes through a man made chemical process to be extracted.
http://www.citycollegiate.com/dblock4.htm. I have included this website for you, if you can then tell me that your copper did not go through any of these processes then i would have to agree with you.
Highly disappointed no one jumped in not even to defend you ho well that's friends for you

a man made chemical process to be extracted.
Therefore is it not a man's natural built structure ?

BUT ... even if it has to be extracted in some way Copper is an element which is the most basic natural material there is, even more basic than wood and stone as these are compounds not elements. SO it follows that if copper occurs as a compound and man manipulates it to change it to its elemental state then it is still a natural substance, more so than a piece of wood or stone !
Copper is formed during the nuclear fusion which goes on during the lifetime of a star, and then released into space during the stars explosive end as a supernova. Copper atoms are therefore much more ancient and natural (no matter what form it is in) than wood or stone, formed before the earth even existed in the hearts of ancient stars !   Grin

I think Tim is big enough and evidently more than capable of looking after himself. I also think someone is being a bit of a 'stick in the mud' taking things way to seriously. The fun and pleasure disappeared out of Tims great pic a few posts back, what a shame.  Sad
