City wall 1

http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=2624

Exeter was established by the Roman in 55AD by the 2nd Augustan legion they built the original walls using 4 different types of stone. At this point Exeter was known as Isac.all the photos here were taken around a relatively new part of the wall around Rougemont hill and yes the Romans built a castle here on the hill only small parts of it are left. This part of the wall may be younger but it is still over a 1ooo years old

Amazing how well their structures last.  The modern reinforced concrete starts tospall and disintegrate after just a few years.  The Roman's quality control must have been, to use that much over-rated word, 'awesome'!

Think the focus is a bit off on this one.
Amazing how some of these structures last !

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.
