I deeply respect the cultural diversity portrayed Robby.

I wouldn't like to be too close by when the pericings are removed and someone offers a glass or two of water!

A credible work in both elements of journalism and portrayal of mankind's array of 'faith'

What is the Thaipusam festival ?
That first guy looks like he needs a BBQ for whatever is stuck on the end of the stick, also that he would never be stuck for tackle if he went fishing !

All jokes aside (no offence intended of course) what is the idea behind the piercings ? Is it purely decorative or is it religious in nature or something else ?

Time is like a freeway of infinite lanes, all leading from the past to the future. A driver in lane A may crash, while a driver in lane B survives, it follows that by changing lanes one may be able to predict the future.

I think I have read it is a religious thing, Tim.  It mzkes me cringe, however, even single facial piercings make me wince, these are horrific (to me).  But cultural mores make things acceptable to some people that would never be acceptable to tohers.

Good shots robby.

Very gritty and raw shots.
You would have succeeded even without the selective colour given the impact of the images.
Well done!

I agree, great shots there. The b&w suits these images perfectly, The coloured parts are a nice touch to.
