Catherine Hill Bay (NSW Central Coast) jetty may disappear

I saw on the news on 14 April 09 that the mining compnay who used this and technically 'own' it, although it is now disused, want to pull it down so they do not have to pay for maintenance. The locals want to keep it of course, as it is a landmark of the area and a possible future tourist attraction.

So Central Coasters, I suggest you get down and photography it before it (possibly) gets away!

It is about 35 minutes from here, a lovely little spot filled with old miner's cottages. The Jetty is a local landmark, (as unfortunately, are some of the early mining efforts and scars on the country side)
I'll try and make an effort.

Warwick my OH has visited there, and from what he says it might be nice for dawn/sunrise shots - those ones on Panoramio are beauts.  Maybe if you go this month you cat get one with a bird in it and enter it in taking flight!
