Nice innocence shot - maybe blur the background a tad more to stop it taking over??? all so hard as it is all down to personal preference!!

Agree about the background but still like the shot also a tighter crop may improve it

Yes, because of the light areas with sun inthe background they distract the eye.

Do a rough selection, paste as a new layer, bring to the front, Gaussian blur and maybe darken the background layer, and then rub out any excess areas on the front (girl) layer.  Voila!
