A sad day for specialist/large format/panoramic film shooters.  Very bad to see such an industry respected manufacturer forced to close.

In these times it will only be the strong that survive. I was also reading about Franke & Heidecke, the company that was established a few years ago to continue the Rollieflex range of medium format cameras.
Following an expensive restructure at the end of 2008 aimed at putting the company on a stronger
financial footing, Franke & Heidecke GmbH filed for insolvency in early March with little prospect of being
rescued given its considerable depts.
