Images in closed galleries

I went looking for an image I wanted to comment on, as my btrowser quit suddenly in the middle, and to my surprise found the image (and a whole lot of others) were in the May 08 Reflections competiton gallery!  Is there any wayto (a) nmove them to the appropriate place (Transport etc) and (b) stop images being posted into tyhe galleries for competitions/challenges that have ended?

And to everyone, please look carefully where you are posting your images.

You can move topics, but with galleries the simplest method is to delete and repost - or probably better, just load another copy into the other gallery .....or just cut and paste the BBC cose that is below every gallery images inot a new post on the board of your genre of choice.
