Reaction of zinc + sulphur

http://www.lightartforum.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=1898

Here is the result of the reaction between Zinc and Sulphur when a bunsen burner is put under it.
An excellent reaction as you can see except for the formation of toxic Sulphur dioxide.
Zinc + Sulphur = Zinc sulphide + Zinc oxide + Sulphur dioxide
(cant do arrow so put = instead)

Oh ye with alst thine resources to hand!
How can thee render thou closest bretheren to unspeakable sorrow.
Our remorse and depth of incapable angst renders us incomplete!
To wit...What the...?
Sounds very smelly and unpleasant.

The streaks are molten sulphur and molten zinc sulphide. Just a little dangerous to stand too close Smiley
